![]() You can program a style to behave like that, but you'd be limited to just 2 variations (A and B). Another difference is that styles can vary their notes based on the chord progressions you play with your left hand, whereas patterns can vary only the keys that they play in- e.g., you can play a style using chords like C Major, F Minor, D 7, A Major 7, B Minor 7, and a variety of other chord types (Suspended 2nd, etc.) but for a pattern all you can do is play it in the key of C, or the key of D, or the key of A#, etc. In contrast, patterns have 5 variations (A, B, C, D, and E) which loop continuously, and don't have any intros, endings, or fill-ins. ![]() Intros, endings, and fill-ins don't loop, they just play one time and then either stop (endings) or segue (intros and fill-ins) into the Main A or Main B loops.
